Our NY Delta brothers have access to a variety of scholarships to help fund their academics and SigEp experience. NY Delta Scholarships are primarily funded by the Scholarship Fund. Supplemental funding comes from the Direct Scholarship Fund and the Educational Set-aside. More information on the funds.

NY Delta Outstanding Brother Scholarship | Apply Now ▶
This $1,000 scholarship is presented to one deserving NY Delta undergraduate brother each May during Clams. The scholarship is intended to reward those brothers who exemplify the principles and values of a Balanced Man and who have demonstrated their dedication and passion towards the chapter. Brothers submit an application and resume detailing their involvement in the chapter, at Rensselaer, and in the community. Winners are selected by the scholarship committee, composed of several AVC directors.
All brothers who apply for this scholarship will also have their name submitted to RPI for consideration for the Byron D. Forster '41 Scholarship (below).
NY Delta Byron D. Forster ‘41 Scholarship
In 2007, our late alumnus Byron D. Forster ‘41, one of our charter members, established an endowed scholarship via RPI to specifically support the students of NY Delta. Amounts are not provided by RPI to the AVC. In the past, as many as five brothers have received the scholarship annually in varying amounts. To apply, please apply for the Outstanding Brother Scholarship above.
NY Delta Most Improved GPA Scholarship
This $500 scholarship recognizes a NY Delta brother each semester for diligence in academics. It is given to the brother with the most improved GPA, based on grade reports, from the previous semester. Scholarships for the past two semesters are presented at Clams each May.

RPI Fraternity and Sorority Life Scholarship
This fund was established by Board of Trustees Chair Arthur F. Golden '66 and his wife Elisabeth to continue RPI’s commitment to the financial needs of students in the Fraternity and Sorority Life system. The scholarship, administered by RPI, is awarded annually to students with the greatest need who are part of the Fraternity and Sorority Life system.
leadership event scholarships
The fraternity offers several different local, regional, and national leadership events designed not only to help brothers run a successful chapter, but to become stronger leaders for the rest of their lives. These events are not without their associated registration, travel, and lodging costs. The AVC, the SigEp Educational Foundation, and other organizations offer many scholarships to help cover these costs.
We are also often able to provide need-based scholarships for these essential leadership education opportunities with direct alumni gifts or funds previously set aside for educational expenses. Undergraduates who are in need of additional financial support to attend any of these events should contact a member of the AVC.
