Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting of the NY Delta Alumni & Volunteer Corporation (AVC) will be held virtually on Saturday, October 9th at 2 pm EDT. Our meeting will be virtual again since RPI Reunion & Homecoming is virtual again this year.

Please vote via proxy ballot (alumni only) even if you can’t attend since we still need to make quorum. You should have a proxy ballot on email from September 2nd titled “Annual Meeting Notice – SigEp NY Delta AVC” and a paper ballot to your postal address. The email version also includes candidate statements for the 5 alumni running for 3 AVC Director spots.

Please register in advance: https://bit.ly/VoteNYD21 You will then receive an email with the link needed to join the meeting.

If you do plan to attend, please also vote in advance to help speed things up.

We’ll also provide updates on the chapter and RPI and have a video mixer after the official meeting is over.

The class year with the most alumni in attendance will win the coveted Stanley Cup Like Attendance Award and have their names permanently engraved on the cup. Last year, the Classes of 1989 and 1994 won.

If you didn’t receive an email or proxy ballot or for questions, contact AVC Secretary Sean McGuigan ’95 at smcguigan@sigepnyd.com or Don Burgio ’89 at don@sigepnyd.com.

Annual Meeting

Given COVID-19 and that RPI’s Reunion & Homecoming was canceled, our annual meeting this year will be virtual via the Zoom platform.

Register in advance at https://bit.ly/VoteNYD

All alumni in good standing are eligible to vote during the meeting. If we have your email address, you should have received an email on September 7th with the title “Annual Meeting Notice” which also includes a proxy ballot. If we don’t have your email address but do have your postal address, you should have received a post card in the mail in early September. If we have neither, let us know so we can update our records. Please return the proxy ballot in advance regardless of whether you plan to attend the meeting or not.

During the meeting, we will provide an update on the chapter, conduct our business meeting and voting, and then adjourn to a video distancing social.

The class year with the most attendees (both absolute # and % of class) will win the coveted Stanley Cup Like Attendance Award and have their names permanently engraved on the trophy.

COVID-19 VIdeo Panel Discussion

During our Ghost Clams Video Updates and Distancing Social on May 9th, we had a very informative and well-received session with our very own Dr. Paul Bleicher '76 on COVID-19.  In a poll, the vast majority of attendees wanted a follow-up session dedicated to this topic.  Well, we've just scheduled it and we're bringing you not one, not two, but three of our very own NY Delta alumni doctors.

Please register in advance at:

https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJ0kduqrrj0oGtMNVlqcEQ527JXB7TH_BVzN

Once you register at the link above, we'll approve your attendance and you will then receive a confirmation email with your personal link to join the meeting which is unique to you.

Also, we'll take live questions but please consider sending your questions in advance to Don Burgio '89 at don@sigepnyd.com who will compile them for our alumni panelists.

We’ve include their bios in our email on this. If you don’t have that, let us know.
